Now that marijuana is legal, the reaction to celebrities admitting to smoking has been much less severe. It has allowed many prominent weed smokers to open up dialogue with others about the positive effects of weed. Many have also sought to do business with cannabis companies, where they sell their own weeds or advertise certain products.

1. Willie Nelson

You can’t have a list of famous weed smokers that don’t include OG Willie Nelson. Legendary country singer known for his love of the color green. He also never shied away from that fact. He also claims that smoking weed saved his life. In an interview with Rolling Stone he declared, “I will no longer live. It saved my life, really. I won’t live for 85 years if I keep drinking and smoking like I did when I was 30 or 40 years old,” he said. “I think weeds have made me not want to kill anymore. And maybe also make many people not want to kill me anymore.”
Not only does he love toke, but Nelson also has his own line of hemp products sold under the Willie’s Remedy brand. He sells everything from CBD oil to hemp-based coffee and tea.

Although he smoked weed most of his life, he took a two-year hiatus but fired in 2019. As he told Mr, “Yes, I quit my job. For almost two years. No smoking, no vaping. And then I ran in [Willie Nelson] and that was that.”

He’s been rapping about it for decades, happily talks about it, has written a cookbook with weed recipes and even funded several weed businesses, including including Leafs By Snoop. He’s one of the biggest smokers on this list, but even he can’t compete with the mighty Willie Nelson. In an interview with Vibe, he recalls how the country music icon was the only person who could pull him off. “That’s the only person who ever sucked me under the table,” Snoop said.

Then you read the story and it says you smoked marijuana,” she shared in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2001. “It wasn’t even cocaine or heroin shots. Pot!”
