While there have always been celebrities who smoked weed, many have been called upon to support it. It has allowed many prominent weed smokers to open up dialogue with others about the positive effects of weed. He also claims that smoking weed saved his life. In an interview with Rolling Stone he declared, “I will no longer live. It saved my life, really. I won’t live for 85 years if I keep drinking and smoking like I did when I was 30 or 40 years old,” he said. “I think weeds have made me not want to kill anymore. And maybe also make many people not want to kill me anymore.”
