Arvind Virmani IMF Wiki:- Arvind Virmani is an Indian economist who was appointed India’s representative to the IMF (International Monetary Fund) in 2009. And before that, Virmani was the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India.

Currently, he is in the news as Virmani has been appointed as a member of the NITI Aayog with ‘immediate effect’, the Indian government announced. The Government of India has elected senior economist Dr. Arvind Virmani as a permanent member of the NITI Aayog.

Arvind Virmani completed his education at The doon school (boarding school in Dehradun, Uttarakhand). After that he attended St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and earned a degree in Physics.

Arvind Virmani represents India at the International Monetary Fund

Indian economist Arvind Virmani was chosen to represent India before the IMF (International Monetary Fund) in 2009. Virmani was also the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India before that.

He held a number of positions in the government. From February 2013 to August 2016, Virmani served on the Technical Advisory Committee on Monetary Policy of RBI (Reserve Bank of India).
