The unfortunate truth about Dave Levey’s season 6 win on Hell’s Kitchen is that his award really wasn’t what he expected.
Dave Levey impressed Hell’s Kitchen fans when he won Season 6 because he always showed a confident and charismatic personality.
He proved himself to be a multi-talented chef when Gordon Ramsay deemed him worthy of taking home the winning title.
Back in 2009, Dave walked away with $250,000 and a job offer at a restaurant called Araxi Restaurant & Bar. Does he accept the job? Does he still work there? Here’s an update on Dave since winning Season 6.
Here’s what Dave Levey has been doing since winning Hell’s Kitchen
The restaurant where Dave was invited to be the “head chef” is located in Whistler, British Columbia. He went there after the show ended, but he ended up blindsided.
Unfortunately for him, his reward was somewhat of a bait and switch situation. Dave decided not to stay in Whistler for long and flew straight back to his hometown.
He discovers his new position is nothing more than a job as a chef. Likewise, the same thing happened to Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 winner Danny Veltri.
He was informed that he would be working as executive chef at Fornelletto at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. However, at the last minute, it was revealed that he was only intended to be their sous chef.
Danny decided to leave his role and Dave followed suit a year later. Now, ScreenRant reports that Dave is working as a baker in Denville, New Jersey. He works at a restaurant called Mara’s Café and Bakery.
Trying to follow Dave on social media is nearly impossible right now because the former Hell’s Kitchen contestant isn’t very active online. His Instagram account has more than 6,000 followers but he has not updated his feed since 2019.
