Jake Paul claims that Nate Diaz “rejected” a $10 million offer for an MMA fight despite previously agreeing to it before their boxing match in early August.
Since entering the world of professional boxing, Jake Paul has added to his previous stellar record by battling mixed martial artists who want to try their hand at the ring.
He also pursued Conor McGregor for a fight, as did UFC boss Dana White, as he was keen to leave his mark in the MMA world. As a result, he signed a deal with PFL – Professional Fighters League – to make his MMA debut in their superfighting division.
When Jake defeated Nate Diaz in early August, the pair agreed that, regardless of the outcome, they would continue their fight in the cage. It is true, but it was claimed that Nate “backed out” of their $10 million deal.

That’s right, before their boxing match on August 5, Jake offered Nate a two-fight deal – with the first fight being inside a boxing ring and the second fight being inside an MMA cage. Nate agreed, but only if it didn’t happen in PFL, as he had “no involvement” with the promotion.
Of course, that’s what came up in Jake’s September 5 interview with TMZ Sports. “We are at the drawing board now. Nate Diaz turned down a $10 million offer, so he’s not as cool as people say,” said the boxer turned YouTuber.
“I want to fight him in MMA and do something that no other fighter has ever really done, which is transition to MMA in the prime of their career. MMA fighters have switched to boxing, but I wanted to switch to MMA and Nate Diaz turned down the offer.”
Jake said he tried to “push” a deal behind the scenes after gaining public approval, but it was “to no avail” and now he is looking for someone else to fight.
He still doesn’t have a specific date for when he will return to the boxing ring or make his debut in the cage, other than he hopes to do something “soon.” So we will have to wait and see.
