Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa is praising Kick for being so much more open to streamers than Twitch and accusing Twitch of never recognizing her as the top woman on the platform.
The streamer wars have been heating up for quite some time now, and Kick proves to be a good alternative to the more mainstream Twitch as streamers flock to it thanks to its better side splits.
Since its launch earlier this year, Kick has signed with some of the biggest names in the streaming world, including Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel to a whopping $100 million deal and continues followed by the acquisition of Amoranth.
In a recent interview, Amouranth explained why the decision to join Kick was so easy and caused the purple platform to be overshadowed for not showing enough respect for his achievements.
Amouranth reveals why Kick is the better platform for streamers
Speaking to NBC, Amouranth mentioned that in 2022 she overtook Pokimane and Valkyrae to become the most-watched female streamer on any platform but still hasn’t received any praise from Twitch.
The OnlyFans model said: “I’m the top female streamer on Twitch, but they’ve never achieved any recognition.
Instagram/AmouranthAmouranth is one of the most popular streamers on any platform.
Amouranth has had a pretty controversial career on Twitch getting banned multiple times, pursuing the hot tub meta, and pushing the boundaries of what is and isn’t acceptable on the site.
For her, however, it was Twitch’s lack of communication that prompted her to join Kick, claiming that the site had a very good relationship with her from the start.
“Kick was open from the start and communicative. They are willing to listen to suggestions. There are always decision makers for creators to discuss the future of the platform with,” the streamer complimented.
Twitch/AmouranthAmouranth hot tub broadcasts helped her rise to the top of Twitch.
The platform has also opened its doors to streamers it has yet to sign. For example, fans have long been asking Dr Disspect to join Kick, but in a recent interview, one of the site’s bosses implied that Doc’s $50 million contract claim is too high.
No one can guess who the next big name vying for the streaming contract will be, but if they value the same things that Amouranth does, chances are their new home will be on Kick.
