Twitch reverses permanent ban on Fortnite streamer who claims he’s a ‘child predator’

Twitch has decided to reverse its decision to permanently ban a Fortnite streamer who joked about “liking kids” and being a “child hunter”.

Controversial Fortnite streamer HydraSZN was criticized in early August after making a series of clumsy online jokes about being sexually interested in children.

During a broadcast, HydraSZN was caught being a total badass before claiming to ‘like kids’, even going as far as saying, “Oh, I swear to God I do, in my life I was a child predator.”

After the footage went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, Twitch issued a permanent suspension to the streamer, but his calls appear to have worked.

Immediately after the ban, HydraSZN began pleading with Twitch, making calls that were initially rejected.

“I deserve to be hated for making a stupid joke, but if Twitch were to ban me for this, they could literally ban thousands of other streamers as well. I don’t deserve to be banned indefinitely,” he said. “Convulsions were my job, my childhood dream, and I finally succeeded.”

Although the Amazon-owned platform refused to appeal and decided the penalty would be upheld, a week later, on August 31, the site took 180 action and reversed the ban permanently. .

“After reviewing your case, we can confirm that the correct enforcement has been issued. However, based on the details of your case, we have decided to accept your appeal,” Twitch said in an email to the streamer.

HydraSZN’s Twitch channel has since been reactivated, much to the streamer’s surprise, saying he won’t let this second chance go to waste.

“I will never stand up again,” he pledged.

This isn’t the first time controversy has arisen in the Fortnite scene regarding a child predator’s comments or actions. Back in 2021, Twitch banned a Brazilian streamer after he was arrested for allegedly raping two children.
