The Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced that two women were taken into custody for “willful or attempted aggravated child abuse,” according to Fox 13.

According to NBC news, the arrest was made after a child escaped from a home in Ivins, Utah and ran to a neighbor for help. They were described as malnourished and had open wounds, with duct tape covering their limbs. Another child was found in the same house in a similar condition – the house of Jodi Hildebrandt.

Since her arrest, 20-year-old Shari Franke has taken to her Instagram account to make several statements about the situation, notably posting a photo of a police car and an officer, writing: “Final”.

She wrote in another post: “My family and I are delighted that justice has been served. “We have been trying to tell the police and CPS about this for years and are delighted that they have finally decided to take action. Children are safe but there is a long way to go.”
